Can Adults and Kids Race Each Other on the Track at the Same Time?
Yes, anyone who meets the height and age requirement can race on the track at K1 Circuit at the same time in our rental karts.
How Long is a Race at K1 Circuit?
Each rental kart race at K1 Circuit is eight minutes in length.
Do K1 Circuit Races Expire?
No, K1 Circuit races never expire. You can always save unused races for future visits.
Can a Child Ride With an Adult at K1 Circuit If They Do Not Meet The Age & Height Requirement?
No, all karts at K1 Circuit are single-seaters. If your child is not at least 13 years old and 60″ tall, they will not be able to race on the track.
Do I Need a Membership to Race at K1 Circuit?
You will need to purchase a license if you want to race at K1 Circuit. If driving our rental karts, you will need to own one of four different licenses. If you are a kart owner, you will need to have a kart owner annual license.
Is My K1 Circuit Annual License Still Active?
If you don’t know when you last purchased your K1 Circuit license, a simple trip to the track is all you need to do. The cashier at the front desk will be able to pull up your information and let you know if your license is still active or expired.
Do You Need a Driver’s License to Drive at K1 Circuit?
No, you do not need a driver’s license to drive at K1 Circuit. However, you will need to purchase a K1 Circuit license if you don’t have already have one. We offer four different licenses for our rental karts, and an annual license for kart owners.
Do You Need a Reservation at K1 Circuit to Race?
A reservation is not required to race at K1 Circuit. However, for groups of 8 or more, reserving a group event is highly recommended as “Arrive and Drive” racing is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. To begin planning a group event please visit our Groups and Parties page.
Are the Rental Karts at K1 Circuit Electric-Powered or Gas-Powered?
All of the rental go-karts at K1 Circuit are 100% electric competition karts. This means faster acceleration and zero exhaust!
How Long is the Track at K1 Circuit?
The full-length track (the Pro Track layout) at K1 Circuit is 1.1 miles long. Both the North Track layout and South Track layout used for rental karts is roughly a half-mile in length.
Is K1 Circuit Karting the Same as Bumper Cars?
K1 Circuit is certainly NOT like bumper cars. In fact, our go-karts are much quicker, more responsive, and more expensive! That’s why we discourage any sort of contact with our karts out on the track. If we find someone intentionally bumping, they may be ejected from the race. Additionally, if a racer is found to have damaged a kart due to their driving, they may be held responsible for the damage to the kart. So keep your racing clean at K1 Circuit!
Do You Need Experience to Race at K1 Circuit?
No prior experience is required to race at K1 Circuit. All drivers will be briefed on track safety, rules, flag/sign meanings, and kart operation prior to their first race.
Is K1 Circuit Safe?
While racing has its inherent risks, K1 Circuit takes every measure possible to ensure all customers enjoy an authentic racing experience in a safe environment. First, our track was built to CIK-FIA specifications which is very strict about safety. All rental go-karts are routinely checked and serviced. We also provide our rental kart drivers with rental suits that are abrasion-resistant and DOT-approved helmets. And any driver found to not be racing responsibly can either have their go-kart speed decreased remotely by a member of our track staff or can be ejected from competition to ensure the safety of others. Prior to each race, every driver is given a safety briefing that goes over track safety, rules, flag and sign meanings, and kart operation.
Can I Wear My Own Helmet at K1 Circuit?
Yes, you can wear your own helmet at K1 Circuit as long as it is Department of Transportation (DOT) approved with a full-face cover and equipped with a visor – no goggles allowed.
What Clothing Should I Wear to K1 Circuit?
All drivers must wear closed-toe shoes, socks, and gloves at K1 Circuit. Drivers wearing long-sleeve shirts and jeans are allowed to race at K1 Circuit without wearing a rental suit. Drivers wearing short-sleeve shirts and shorts may race, but wearing a rental suit will be mandatory. Our abrasion-resistant rental suits are strongly recommended for everyone for maximum protection. If you have your own karting suit with abrasion resistance, you can wear your own suit. Karting gloves are provided with every rental kart membership.
What Do I Need to Bring to K1 Circuit?
All you need to bring to K1 Speed is yourself, a form of payment, and the appropriate attire (see previous question). We’ll provide the headsock, helmet, kart, suits. Drivers must also bring their own gloves (gloves are provided upon purchase of a rental kart license).
Is K1 Circuit the Same as K1 Speed?
Although K1 Circuit is made possible by the same team behind K1 Speed, the K1 Circuit rental kart experience is very different to the experience found at K1 Speed. The karts are capable of much higher speeds and behave differently than their indoor counterparts. Additionally, the outdoor track provides more varied driving conditions than the mostly constant driving conditions found indoors. Making the move to K1 Circuit from K1 Speed delivers a next-level racing experience and a new challenge for even the most experienced indoor kart racers.
Are All of K1 Circuit’s Rental Karts the Same in Each Race?

Can I Use Races From My K1 Speed Account at K1 Circuit?
No, races from K1 Speed and K1 Circuit are non-transferrable. K1 Speed races can only be used at K1 Speed locations. Likewise, K1 Circuit races can only be used at K1 Circuit.
Do I Need a K1 Circuit License if I Have a K1 Speed License?
Yes, even if you have a K1 Speed license, you will need a K1 Circuit license to race at K1 Circuit.
