ANNUAL BRONZE MEMBER – SPEED L1

Enjoy the thrill of racing in our fast and safe karts, while racing around our outdoor 1.1-mile, 16-turn world-class professional grade kart track. Your membership license includes everything you need to go racing, including a pair of high quality K1 RaceGear karting gloves, a K1 Circuit headsock, and free use of our rental abrasion-resistant karting suits and DOT-approved race helmets. After each race, you’ll receive a personalized timing sheet with your track session information.

ANNUAL SILVER MEMBER – SPEED L2

REQUIREMENTS: 5 Races as Bronze License Member (or proof of current karting / automotive racing experience)

Upgrade your experience by unlocking more speed in our electric pro karts, while enjoying extra membership perks such as discounts for K1 RaceGear apparel, a special drawstring bag for your gear, and a K1 Circuit T-Shirt. Anybody who hasn’t previously possessed a Bronze Membership License will also receive free K1 RaceGear karting gloves, and a K1 Circuit headsock.

ANNUAL GOLD MEMBER – SPEED L3

REQUIREMENTS: 10 Races as Silver License Member.

Upgrade your experience by unlocking even greater speed in our outdoor electric karts and enjoy all the perks of our Bronze and Silver Membership Licenses PLUS a special 2-Hour Race Class that includes three race sessions and a track walk. You’ll also enjoy free rental cameras each day you race.

ANNUAL PRO MEMBER – SPEED L4

REQUIREMENTS: 15 Races as Gold License Member.

With the Pro Membership license, you’ll unlock the maximum speed of our E Pro Kart, and will enjoy all benefits from our Bronze, Silver and Gold Membership Licenses.

Hours of Operation: 9am to 9pm (Open Practice: 9am-5pm; Rentals run all day, from open to close).

Everyone must sign in and receive a wristband – spectators included.

Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians to fill out the waiver.

A K1 Circuit License is required to go on track.

All licenses, gift cards, and races are per person, and non-transferable with K1 Speed.

Vehicles, trailers, and tents must fit inside designated parking/pit spots.

Parking outside of designated zones is prohibited; roads/fire lanes must stay clear.

No bikes, skateboards, scooters, golf carts or any other human-powered / motorized vehicles (including karts) in the parking areas.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited during the hours the track and paddock are hot with karts on course. When races are finished for the day, you can enjoy K1 Circuit’s Paddock Lounge.

Please understand for safety concerns, if you are dangerous on the track, can’t achieve an adequate lap time, or for any other related issues, you may be asked to park for the day.
“Follow-the-leader” sessions allowed only by qualified personnel, and in the correct sessions. These privileges may be revoked for safety reasons if the instructor is deemed unqualified. Instructors must be approved in advance.
No overnight camping at K1 Circuit. The paddock area must be cleared by 9pm.
All Karts must pass the 95 DB test for noise on track. If non-compliant you will be asked to fix the issue before taking the track again. This includes generators paddock
All pit spots require a tarp under the kart on the ground to catch excess fuel, oil, cleaners, or chain lube in the paddock. Non-compliance after the first warning may result in a $150 fine.
No fuel storage at the track or paddock.

K1 Circuit race gear requirements:

Arrive and Drive (rental kart) racers must wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and gloves. Full-face helmets and suits are always available to borrow. You can use your own DOT or higher rated helmet, however no open-faced, or motocross helmets/goggles are allowed.
Kart owners must wear a full abrasion-resistant karting suit, closed-toe shoes, a full-face SNELL approved helmet, and racing gloves. Neck collars and rib vests with a chest protector are mandatory in the kid kart and cadet categories, with neck collars required for Juniors.

How Old and Tall Do You Have to Be to Race at K1 Circuit?

To race a rental kart at K1 Circuit, you must be at least 13 years old and 60″ tall.

Important: Meeting the height and age requirement is not a guarantee you”ll be able to race our karts. Drivers will be measured at the location and must be able to safely operate all elements of the kart. Final approval will be at management’s discretion.

How Fast Are the Karts at K1 Circuit?

K1 Circuit’s rental competition electric go-karts are capable of reaching speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour. However, beginners will start out at slower speeds until they have accumulated the experience and memberships required to unlock more speed.

Can Adults and Kids Race Each Other on the Track at the Same Time?

Yes, anyone who meets the height and age requirement can race on the track at K1 Circuit at the same time in our rental karts.

How Long is a Race at K1 Circuit?

Each rental kart race at K1 Circuit is eight minutes in length.

Do K1 Circuit Races Expire?

No, K1 Circuit races never expire. You can always save unused races for future visits.

Can a Child Ride With an Adult at K1 Circuit If They Do Not Meet The Age & Height Requirement?

No, all karts at K1 Circuit are single-seaters. If your child is not at least 13 years old and 60″ tall, they will not be able to race on the track.

Do I Need a Membership to Race at K1 Circuit?

You will need to purchase a license if you want to race at K1 Circuit. If driving our rental karts, you will need to own one of four different licenses. If you are a kart owner, you will need to have a kart owner annual license.

Is My K1 Circuit Annual License Still Active?

If you don’t know when you last purchased your K1 Circuit license, a simple trip to the track is all you need to do. The cashier at the front desk will be able to pull up your information and let you know if your license is still active or expired.

Do You Need a Driver’s License to Drive at K1 Circuit?

No, you do not need a driver’s license to drive at K1 Circuit. However, you will need to purchase a K1 Circuit license if you don’t have already have one. We offer four different licenses for our rental karts, and an annual license for kart owners.

Do You Need a Reservation at K1 Circuit to Race?

A reservation is not required to race at K1 Circuit. However, for groups of 8 or more, reserving a group event is highly recommended as “Arrive and Drive” racing is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. To begin planning a group event please visit our Groups and Parties page.

Are the Rental Karts at K1 Circuit Electric-Powered or Gas-Powered?

All of the rental go-karts at K1 Circuit are 100% electric competition karts. This means faster acceleration and zero exhaust!

How Long is the Track at K1 Circuit?

The full-length track (the Pro Track layout) at K1 Circuit is 1.1 miles long. Both the North Track layout and South Track layout used for rental karts is roughly a half-mile in length.

Is K1 Circuit Karting the Same as Bumper Cars?

K1 Circuit is certainly NOT like bumper cars. In fact, our go-karts are much quicker, more responsive, and more expensive! That’s why we discourage any sort of contact with our karts out on the track. If we find someone intentionally bumping, they may be ejected from the race. Additionally, if a racer is found to have damaged a kart due to their driving, they may be held responsible for the damage to the kart. So keep your racing clean at K1 Circuit!

Do You Need Experience to Race at K1 Circuit?

No prior experience is required to race at K1 Circuit. All drivers will be briefed on track safety, rules, flag/sign meanings, and kart operation prior to their first race.

Is K1 Circuit Safe?

While racing has its inherent risks, K1 Circuit takes every measure possible to ensure all customers enjoy an authentic racing experience in a safe environment. First, our track was built to CIK-FIA specifications which is very strict about safety. All rental go-karts are routinely checked and serviced. We also provide our rental kart drivers with rental suits that are abrasion-resistant and DOT-approved helmets. And any driver found to not be racing responsibly can either have their go-kart speed decreased remotely by a member of our track staff or can be ejected from competition to ensure the safety of others. Prior to each race, every driver is given a safety briefing that goes over track safety, rules, flag and sign meanings, and kart operation.

Can I Wear My Own Helmet at K1 Circuit?

Yes, you can wear your own helmet at K1 Circuit as long as it is Department of Transportation (DOT) approved with a full-face cover and equipped with a visor – no goggles allowed.

What Clothing Should I Wear to K1 Circuit?

All drivers must wear closed-toe shoes, socks, and gloves at K1 Circuit. Drivers wearing long-sleeve shirts and jeans are allowed to race at K1 Circuit without wearing a rental suit. Drivers wearing short-sleeve shirts and shorts may race, but wearing a rental suit will be mandatory. Our abrasion-resistant rental suits are strongly recommended for everyone for maximum protection. If you have your own karting suit with abrasion resistance, you can wear your own suit. Karting gloves are provided with every rental kart membership.

What Do I Need to Bring to K1 Circuit?

All you need to bring to K1 Speed is yourself, a form of payment, and the appropriate attire (see previous question). We’ll provide the headsock, helmet, kart, suits. Drivers must also bring their own gloves (gloves are provided upon purchase of a rental kart license).

Is K1 Circuit the Same as K1 Speed?

Although K1 Circuit is made possible by the same team behind K1 Speed, the K1 Circuit rental kart experience is very different to the experience found at K1 Speed. The karts are capable of much higher speeds and behave differently than their indoor counterparts. Additionally, the outdoor track provides more varied driving conditions than the mostly constant driving conditions found indoors. Making the move to K1 Circuit from K1 Speed delivers a next-level racing experience and a new challenge for even the most experienced indoor kart racers.

Are All of K1 Circuit’s Rental Karts the Same in Each Race?

While each rental go-kart is identical, some drivers may be driving at a faster speed than others depending on the level of their K1 Circuit license. For more information about our licenses and what is required for a license that provides higher speed, please review our Arrive & Drive page.

Can I Use Races From My K1 Speed Account at K1 Circuit?

No, races from K1 Speed and K1 Circuit are non-transferrable. K1 Speed races can only be used at K1 Speed locations. Likewise, K1 Circuit races can only be used at K1 Circuit.

Do I Need a K1 Circuit License if I Have a K1 Speed License?

Yes, even if you have a K1 Speed license, you will need a K1 Circuit license to race at K1 Circuit.

An easy drive from anywhere in Southern California, K1 Circuit spans across 27 acres located off the 215 in Winchester.

K1 Circuit is a 1.1 mile, 16-turn, world-class race track built by industry professionals with meticulous emphasis on safety and usability.

We offer customers who own a racing kart the ability to practice and test year-round. Please see our Requirements below. We also offer a number of storage options if you would prefer to keep your kart at the track, with everything from stands, to lockers, to complete team garages. Turn-key service is also available. With a simple phone call we can have your kart pulled, serviced and ready to race when you arrive.

REQUIREMENTS:

Kart owners must meet a dB noise limit that is measured from a set ‘sound station’ with an industry standard measuring device.

2-stroke kart engine noise limit: 95dB (decibel )
4-stroke kart engine noise limit: 85dB (decibel)
There is no set tech inspection that karts must pass. However, K1 Circuit reserves the right to deny entry onto the track if a kart is deemed unsafe, too loud or has the potential to damage the track surface.
Kart owners must have gloves, close-toed shoes, and a homologated kart racing suit in order to use our facilities.

We are open 7 days a week but my be closed for an event. Please verify on our Calendar page prior to scheduling for open practice.

*Rates for Open Practice are per driver, not per kart. If more than one driver plans to use the same kart, both drivers are required to pay for an Open Practice pass.

On 10-minute final race: After qualifying, your group will line up on our grid in the same order as you finished our qualifying session, with the fastest drivers at the front and the slower drivers towards the back. Then, your group will race around our outdoor 1.1-mile, 16-turn world-class professional karting track for FOUR race sessions:

One 10-minute practice session: This session is all about getting used to the kart and the track without any pressure of how fast you’re going. K1 Circuit’s VIP package is for groups who want the premier group experience for their event.

First, guests will receive a Bronze Membership License that includes everything you need to go racing, including a pair of high quality K1 RaceGear karting gloves, a K1 Circuit headsock, and free use of our rental abrasion-resistant karting suits and DOT-approved race helmets. Your group will also receive a souvenir K1 Circuit t-shirt to remind you of your experience.

Next, your group will have a safety briefing with an instructor in our classroom, where every aspect of safety and kart operation will be presented to you live in person.

Before you hit the track, the instructor will then guide your group on a track walk of the configuration you’ll race on. This walk will include pointers on where to brake, how to approach each corner, and more.

Then, your group will race around our outdoor professional karting track for three race sessions:

One 10-minute practice session: This session is all about getting used to the kart and the track without any pressure of how fast you’re going. K1 Semi-Pro Series: Outdoor Competition Karting

The K1 Semi-Pro Series is K1 Circuit’s monthly competition karting league that utilizes the OTL E Pro Kart, the track’s high-performance outdoor electric go-kart. This series makes it easy for those who want to race competitively outdoors but lacks the time and funds to own their own go-kart.

The K1 Semi-Pro Mini Series is for ages 8-12+ and features the upcoming rental E Pro Cadet Kart!

The K1 Semi-Pro Junior Series is for ages 13-15+ and uses the rental E Pro Kart.

The K1 Semi-Pro Senior Series is for ages 16+ and uses the rental OTL E Pro Kart.

The K1 Semi-Pro Heritage Series is for drivers 30+ and uses the rental E Pro Kart.

The American E Kart Championship (AEKC) caters to drivers from 8 years old to adults of any age who want to participate in a top-level national karting competition with some of the biggest prize purses available.

For ages 8-12+. Uses the upcoming OTL E Pro Cadet Kart and is the perfect introduction to the world of competitive outdoor kart racing.

For ages 13-15+ , operates at a lower speed setting to Senior and Heritage but tests the talent of young up-and-coming racers.

For ages 16+, operates at a high-speed setting and challenges older teens and adults to an intense karting experience.

For ages 30+, operates at the same speed setting as Senior but for older racers who still enjoy the thrill of competitive kart racing.
