Gogar Park Curling Club has something to offer most levels of ability.
Please contact our convenors if you are interested in entering any of the leagues.
The league provides sociable curling with just enough of a competitive edge - it’s an ideal entry point into club curling. Players enter as individuals, so there's no need to find a team to join. We make up teams that are as evenly balanced as possible, and which allow people to play in their preferred positions. We particularly try to give people opportunities to 'move up' and try playing third or skipping if that's what they would like to do. So, if you're a fairly new member of Gogar Park, or used to play in the Mixed League, or have just never thought of giving it a try, the Mixed League is for you! Games are mostly on midweek evenings at 19:45 or 20:15, and we have a good group of reserves - so there's cover when team players are unavailable.
The 8 teams have now been selected for the first half of the 2023/24 season, but we would be delighted to add you to a ‘waiting list’. In particular, we are keen to increase the number of teams playing in the second half of the season.. We can also include you on our list of reserves, who are regularly called upon as substitutes when team players find they’re unavailable for particular games.

Open Super League
The Open Super League is open to teams comprising any 4 curlers. There are three Divisions in this league. All three Divisions have seven teams and are played as a double round robin.
There is promotion between the three Divisions, normally two up and two down. This may be modified if teams withdraw from the league. The structure of the league is reviewed each year to take account of any new teams and any withdrawals. Entries are on a team basis. New teams are placed in Division 3.

Mixed Super League
The Mixed Super League is open to teams comprising two male and two female curlers, playing in any order. There is a single Division for this league. It has ten teams and is played as a single round robin.
The structure of the league is reviewed each year to take account of any new teams and any withdrawals. Entries are on a team basis.
Individuals interested in playing in the league should contact the convenor who will then contact skips who are looking for new players.
Open Doubles League
The Open Doubles League is open to teams comprising any 2 curlers. There is a single division of six teams and is played as a single round robin.
Entries are on a team basis. It is quite acceptable to operate a pool of 3-4 players and select which two play in each fixture as it suits.
