Program Objectives

This is a 7-week program designed to help employees improve and develop their global business communication skills. Participants will learn about different communication styles, and how these influence the effectiveness of their global business communication.

Participants will learn:

  • How to adjust their communication style for global business

  • Assertiveness communication skills and techniques

  • How to express their opinions clearly and logically

Who is this program for?

Designed for Japanese business people that need to work in global business environments. It is recommend that participants have appropriate English language and communication skills, ideally a TOEIC score of at least 500 points.

Program Overview

We emphasize building confidence and developing practical business communication skills that help employees communicate approrpriately in global business environments.

Participants will receive a pdf copy of a program workbook to help facilitate the learning experience and as resource for their future study. Participants will also recieve a video of their role-play simulations and email support and comments from their instructor.

Participants will learn how to:

  • How to adjust their communication style for global business

  • Communicate appropriate and assertively

  • How to express their opinions clearly and logically

Specifically skills and techniques include how to:

  • Listen actively and confirm understanding.

  • Appropriately interrupt and ask questions.

  • Clearly and appropriately express concerns and intentions

  • Confidently discuss difficult and sensitive issues

  • Persuade and influence your colleagues and business partners

  • Discuss and overcome disagreements

  • Gain deeper understanding and insight to your counterpart’s needs

  • Avoid misunderstandings

  • Encourage other people to express their real concerns
