Prayer Makes Us New
Change is tough. The need for it is even more difficult to accept.
In 2019 we were not fully prepared for the shift from traditional media to social media and to undertake the rebranding directive from HCFM. Welcoming a new national director at the onset of the pandemic also posed challenges in creating a new work dynamic and fostering teamwork.
We needed God’s intervention, without question. Working from home, the team started weekly Zoom meetings that began with a prayer for humility and guidance. We embarked on a difficult journey of introspection, acceptance, and gaining the courage to change. We were also led to generous professionals who taught us to appreciate one another and work better together, helped us localize the branding initiatives and enabled us to focus better on our mission.
As we returned to the office, we also began the habit of starting our day praying together. Despite our limited skills in technology and social media and challenges in adapting the branding guidelines and unifying our FRC unit members, we re-organized the team and brought in young talents to invigorate the mission, successfully completed the renovation of the FRC office and studio, safely conducted a General Assembly for our Units, launched our first Pamilya Saya Nationwide Video-making Contest, and refreshed the content of all our social media platforms, among others. With prayer we achieved our goal of renewal---creating an image that is fresh, youthful, warm and inviting, while remaining steadfast in our mission to help families pray.
