Prayer Sows Life
Ireland
Retreats and Prayer:
Peyton Centre Ireland sows the seeds of faith by attending to the visitors and pilgrims and organizing youth retreats. ‘Nurturing faith connections’ being the theme of the year, the retreats are geared towards helping youth cultivate the value of prayer and foster family bonds. We make a special effort to reach out to the youth around the Diocese of Achonry and the Diocese of Killala providing faith formation.
Attending to Pilgrims:
Peyton Centre hosts a series of visitors and pilgrims giving more information about Father Peyton and his life. Visitors from all over Europe are given a first-hand experience of the life of Father Patrick Peyton through 30-minute video programs followed by a guided tour at the Centre. ‘The time spent in the oratory praying the Rosary along with Father Peyton is the best experience’ as expressed by many of the visitors.
Inter-generational Connect:
Faith and family connections remain strong when there is an intergenerational connection. Peyton Centre provided an opportunity for the School Children of Attymass to connect with their Grandparents as the children honored their grandparents. The family connections remain strong when faith and knowledge are handed down from one generation to another. The evening ended with prayer, fun, and laughter bringing smiles that connected the families and strengthened their bonds.
