Catholic Mom, whose mission is to support and encourage every woman in the vocation of Catholic motherhood, hears the stories of these mothers daily. On June 8, a blog post was published titled Do as I Say ... and as I Do. The author, Maria Riley, emphasized the importance of modeling her dependence on God throughout the day in front of her children. “Developing a deep, personal relationship with God through daily prayer is the most essential part of your life. But as parents, we are called to demonstrate that relationship day in and day out in the ordinariness of our vocation as mothers,” writes Riley. When mothers model faith in the home, their children follow suit, uniting them as a family.

The Catholic Momcast, another free resource from Catholic Mom, published an episode titled Chuckles and Chuckleheads where Maria Morera Johnson and contributor Karen Estep had a fun and moving conversation with the author of In the Trenches, Kelsey Gillespy. Listeners heard Gillespy’s story of having five babies within nine years and what that meant for her faith life. Motherhood strengthened her identity in Christ, and while living in that identity, she was able to be the mother God was calling her to be.

Catholic Mom does not only have resources for young mothers but for mothers in all stages of life. On February 4, a blog post was published titled A Gift of Love: Praying for our Grown-Up Children by Name. Author Rachel Watkins offered encouragement to empty-nester moms to continue to pray for their grown-and-flown children and their needs. Living a life of faith and prioritizing prayer in the home does not end once your children are adults; rather, the continuation of those practices leads to a flourishing mother-child relationship in all seasons.
