Leading with Prayer
Holy Cross Family Ministries – Canada has been engaged in a training program for making Rosaries for Seniors. We have a group of 25 women who have made 10,000 rosaries in 2023 and our young adults have created Brochures on Guide to Pray the Rosary Daily. We distribute these Rosaries and brochures in the school encouraging the students to pray the Rosary daily.
Prayer in Action
During the School Holy Eucharist celebration, we distributed the Rosaries to the Teachers and Students. Our team of volunteers goes to Schools and High Schools to help the students pray the Rosary. As a fruit of this ministry, we have a group of Teenagers who began the First Saturday Devotions and lead the Rosary after the Mass. The teenagers shared praying the Rosary has helped them “to focus on their study”, “help in better decision making” ‘build mature relationships” and “grow in their faith.” Many elders in the community said, “they felt hopeful to see the Teenagers Leading the Rosary”. Praying the Rosary in the Church helps build better relationships, become hopeful and motivated to do charitable works. Holy Cross Family Ministries – Canada continues to make Rosaries and brochures to distribute them to the schools, parishes, and hospitals.
The Quiet Garden
We find that praying the Rosary brings a true and meaningful transformation in the parish and school community. Our Volunteers who make the Rosaries have expressed how making rosaries has helped them spend their time in a meaningful way. Personally witness the joy of the patients who receive and pray the Rosary that brings them comfort and strength, closeness to Jesus and Mother Mary, motivate them to recover and find purpose in life.
Trusting the Harvest
One of the most important parts of Holy Cross Family Ministry – Canada is the healing ministry. We spend time in the counselling and spiritual direction for those request it. During the counselling sessions, we witnessed how many people are suffering due to loneliness, anxiety, lack of motivation, personal crisis, broken relationships, addiction to social media and grief. Personal Counselling helps them to address their personal struggles, validate their emotional distress and open to spiritual wellbeing. We have found after the personal counselling and prayer ritual, many feel motivated to find way to move forward in life, find emotional stability and become spiritual grounded. We give them prayer resources like Roary, Books, Bibles to continue find meaning and purpose in life with spiritual wellbeing.
