Leading with Christian values requires wisdom, direction, and strength, with prayer playing a fundamental role. Through communion with God, Christian leaders find the strength, discernment, and spiritual alignment needed to guide and influence those in their care. Prayer allows leaders to express their desires, seek guidance, and receive the strength to face challenges.
Prayer in Action Family Rosary Brazil has always turned to the Rosary for inspiration and strength to overcome challenges. This year, our challenge was the Year of Prayer project. During our daily Rosary prayers, we asked Our Lady for help, light, and guidance for our path. The result was the Family Prayer Campaign, which, through face-to-face contact with families and support from social media, is achieving significant results.
Silent Garden Lent should awaken in us a desire for silence and prayer amid our often-hectic lives. Silence allows us to listen to Jesus and his Mother Mary. At the Angelus on Sunday, the 18th, Pope Francis reflected on the temptations Jesus faced in the desert, as narrated in the day's Gospel. He highlighted that all Christians are invited during Lent to "enter the desert"—to embrace silence, listen to the heart, and engage in inner reflection.
Testimony of Luciane Gomes “In 2002, Father John Phalen, C.S.C., invited me to take over the direction of Rosário en Família in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I was excited but also scared by the great challenge. I sought help from Our Lady through the prayer of the Rosary. In the silence, the Church heard the answer it was looking for. With the support of my family and the blessings of Our Lady, I accepted the request and surrendered myself to God's will. Today, I am very grateful for all the support I received from both Heaven and my colleagues at HCFM.
