Field Training Officer

Delta-5 Field Training Officer

Being a field training officer is one of, if not the most important role you can have in Delta-5. FTO’s are responsible for enabling recruitment by any means possible, they are one of the sole reasons that  Delta-5 has a steady stream of suitably qualified recruits . Do not take this role for granted as it is an important role.

Welcome to the Field Training Officer Program. This Page will inform you of the training steps, as well as give you information on certain things that come with being an FTO.

Make sure you only train people that are in Combat Branches and are CPL+

CI and all others must apply on the forums.
JFTO’s must be supervised by SFTO+ before hosting a training.

After you host one training while supervised, you automatically become an FTO.

[ IT IS A REQUIREMENT TO BE IN THE FTO PROGRAM TO BECOME COMMAND ]

Rank requirements for tryouts can not be lowered without O5 Council and the Branches HCMD permission.

FTO RULES

1.  If you are a staff member, and you are in need of taking sits or being told to take sits, you are to hold your training and deal with the sits that are up, we will not punish you for it. Ensure your trainees know what is happening before leaving to take sits.

2.  (Make sure you always have your physgun out when going to do a tryout in LCZ armory. Especially when leaving Bunks to attend the training or overseeing a JFTO+. Ensure that you keep your physgun out during “Tours”.) When in designated training area's, you may ask people to leave if they are loitering inside or interfering with your training.

3. Make sure you have your FTO rank and “Trainer” in your name whilst training in game, (FTO Rank) Trainer (Name) Example; FTO Trainer Marcus. Make sure you /advert “DO NOT SHOOT THOSE WITH PHYSGUNS | TRAINING IN PROGRESS.” This makes it easier for the trainee to identify you and for GOI/SCPs  to know you are out of character (OOC).

4. If your Trainee leaves the designated training area without you escorting them for training purposes, they are now back in RP “Role-play”, and they are not allowed to come back until the next tryouts. If they insist on coming back, warn them that if they continue interrupting training they will be on DNT  if this behavior persists and if they continue, make a ticket with /report.

5. YOU , the Trainer, have the right to refuse any trainee for misconduct or minging. You may also fill out a DNT in the Discord channel #mtf-do-not-train. The sentence in No.4 applies to Rule No.5 : “If they insist on coming back, warn them that if they continue interrupting training they will be DNT if the behavior persists.”

6. Promotions as FTO are separate from rank promotion. FTO promotions are given out based on performance as an FTO and your volume of trainings. You show your work, you get noticed.

7. When you're done training someone, you MUST fill out a training log in the Discord channel #d5-training-log with the new recruits details. You must follow the pinned format to correctly document the recruits particulars.

8. If your Trainee seems unfit or just not ready for a serious role then you can dismiss them from the training under the cause of them not being prepared for Delta-5 or attitude is unjustly. Make sure to have evidence on why you dismissed them so we can decide if its eligible for a DNT and if needed make a ticket for staff to get you their Steam ID.

Being biased will also get these privileges removed.
