Humanities

We spend days, years and even ages caring about our materialistic world. We focus on how to invent new food, develop our skills, and innovate our business. It is important to improve our lives and make them more comfortable, but what about our minds? Why are we keeping ourselves slaves of ignorance? The only way to kill the imprudence is to follow the path of philosophy, "love of wisdom".

"I am the wisest man alive, for I know that I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing" - Plato

Plato's analysis of the definition of PITY and his refutation for every definition given by Euthyphro make me wondered about all the values in the life. Indeed, As human beings, we are trying to be kind, good people; we command others to be the same and we look forward to spreading these just values all over the humanity. We also know very well what they mean; However, we can never define them by words. Thus, I have concluded that doing pious things is the only way to let people around me recognize the true meaning of pity.

Moreover, the allegory of the cave makes me raise some questions. Am I living in the shadow? What should I do to know the truth? Why can only philosophers reach the world of forms? These questions make me think more critically about my beliefs and views toward the life. After deep observation, my opinions hasn't changed, but my beliefs are now stronger and my tolerance for other ones has increased. From now, my reason is so stronger that I won't follow the majority of people, but only what I, myself, find true.

As a final thought, I am interested to discover more philosophers, their theories, and refutations so that I can detect the truth on my own. Philosophy is the most powerful field in the life since it is the issue of mind where we can do everything without limits. “We can invent, create, experience, and destroy things with thoughts alone. "
