Happy Holidays!
Students presented their Voices of Freedom Book to families, as well as their passion projects! Students spent weeks becoming an expert in an area of their choice! They all did a phenomenal job!
We published our Voices of Freedom book, using Studentreasures Publishing, and have begun working on our passion projects!
Human Rights Unit has begun! Students are working on peer-edits for their stories! We have also been experimenting with the Edison robots!
Students collaborated to deliver feedback on their Human Rights stories!
Students wrote blackout poetry (found poetry) to find and illustrate the hidden message within a text!
5th Grade G&T students began their project by researching different types of bridges—such as suspension, arch, and truss—and learning how they handle loads to avoid structural failure. Then, students were tasked with researching a specific bridge of their choice, exploring its design, history, function, and importance. They built a model of their bridge, compiled their findings into a newspaper or essay, and presented their work at our G&T showcase for classmates and families
