Screencasting using Screencastify
Screencasting helps students capture, explain and reflect on the work that is on their screens. This allows students to make their thinking visible and explain their understanding using a tool other then the written word.
Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with Screencasting using Screencastify by watching this video
Let's Try It
1. Download Screencastify
2. Follow the set up instructions
3. Select Tab to access the special features and Embed the Webcam (Click HERE for tech tip)
4. Create a screencast sharing your favourite tool from the book. Explain how you use it to help students make their thinking visible, provide every learner with a voice and help them share their work
5. Use tools from the Tab feature while you are recording
6. Click the extension icon to end the recording
7. Make sure to save to your drive (Click HERE for Tech Tip)
8. Copy link and turn in on Padlet below
