Special Issue of the Review of the Economics of the Household (REHO)
Gender Equality and Inclusivity: Transforming Economics, Workplaces, and Politics
Editors: Paola Profeta (Bocconi University) and Elena Stancanelli (Paris School of Economics)
Gender gaps in recruiting, promotion, and representation at the top of the hierarchy in firms, organizations and political institutions remain persistent. Structural, cultural and institutional factors continue to impede progress towards gender equality and diversity. This lack of inclusivity carries substantial economic and social costs for societies, workplaces and individuals. This special issue explores the causes and consequences of these inequalities, addressing the challenges and opportunities for transforming firms, organizations and political institutions toward gender equality and inclusivity.
