Early Career Researchers Award on Gender inclusion and diversity research
This award aims to recognise and support the work of early career researchers whose studies contribute to the development, analysis, or evaluation of Gender inclusion and diversity in research.
Eligibility
This prize is awarded to early-career researchers, defined as postgraduate students or PhD holders who defended their thesis within the past 5 years (after January 1st 2021). Associate professors or full professors are not eligible. Candidates from all backgrounds, nationalities and residence countries are eligible.
In the case of co-authored articles, GEPINC prize awardee must be either the first author or the corresponding author. The award will be granted solely to them, regardless of co-authorship.
Evaluation Criteria
The selection committee will evaluate the articles based on the following:
Relevance to the aims of GEPINC.
Academic and methodological rigour
Originality
Practical applicability of findings
Implications for society
Submission instructions
Articles to be considered for the GEPINC prizes must be submitted to either of:
A special issue of the Review of the Economics of the Household (REHO), with call for papers now closed, and over 50 submissions received, which are currently being processed.
A special issue of the Journal of Sexuality, Gender and Policy (SG&P), which will open soon.
The 2026 meetings of the Society of the Economics of the HOusehold (SEHO), with SEHO call for papers now closed, with about 400 submissions received, which are currently under evaluation.
Awards
The authors of the awarded articles will receive a certificate acknowledging the prize and will participate as keynote speakers at the GEPINC project’s international webinars.

The selection committee will examine the eligible research papers and award the prizes, and include the following experts:

Intellectual Property and Dissemination
Authors retain full copyright of their submissions. However, the organisers reserve the right to disseminate the winning entry on their platforms, always with proper attribution.
