ISEG will host the 48th International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR) Conference from 16 to 18 September 2026. As in previous editions, the event will bring together researchers from various disciplines — including economics, management, sociology, public policy, transport and psychology — with the aim of sharing and analysing findings on how individuals and societies use, organise and value time. Participation is open to researchers, PhD students and interested professionals.

The Conference will include Special Sessions as part of the Horizon Europe GEPINC - Gender Equality Plans for Inclusivity, focusing on transdisciplinary approaches to gender equality in European research and innovation organisations, as well as a Round Table on ‘Reimagining Time Allocation in the University of the Future’.

The Call for Abstracts is open, with submissions to be made online via this link (after creating an account). The themes of the call include, amongst others: Technology, Digitisation, and Wellbeing; Inequalities, Demographics, Society and Family; Environment, Energy, Geography and Transport; Public Policy, Services, and Global Goals; The Centrality of Time in Data Collection and Data Enrichment; Work, Labour, Economy, and Valuation; Health, Wellbeing, Lifestyle, and Daily Rhythms; Time Use: Research Methodology, Innovations, and Data Analysis; and Time Use in Universities and Gender.
