Passport and Visa is mandatory for foreigners entering Cabo Verde, for tourism or business purposes, with some exceptions.

The national currency is the Cape Verdean Escudo (CVE).
The exchange rate is 1 EURO = 110, 265 CVE . The exchange rate with the EURO is fixed, based on an agreement between Cape Verde and the European Union.
The Euro is currently accepted (shops, restaurants, hotels, taxi, etc.). Change is usually given in CVE.
Credit cards and Visa Electron Cards are accepted in Automatic Bank Machines, which are available in numerous points in Cidade da Praia.
