When it came to the development of our project there were several stages for it's creation. Throughout each stage we were able to develop several different skills which include but arent limitted to plumbing, welding, carpentry, fluid calculations , CFD simulation, etc.
Visual Represenation/ Research
Through this stage of the prototype our main focus was to gather a basic underasting of how these particualar systems work as well as how we can begin the optimization of our design. This stage was primarily compromise of research and basic visualizations.
Calculations
Through this stage of our project we primarily focused on the creation of theoretical values so we can have a refernce point when it came to the practical application of our prototype
CAD Design
This stage of our project served as a deeper visualization of what we wanted our prototype to reperesnt as well as to give us a better idea of the dimmension we will be working with.
CFD Simulations
This build upon the previously stated calcuation and verified them in a more sophisticated format in the form of a computer fluid dynamic simulations which would help us understand on a deeper level how would the flow of the liquid behave what kind of mass flow would be optimal to maximize efficiency, as well as to verify that the prototype would be a functional one.
1st Stage prototype
During this stage of our design we took the basic components of our final prototype and develop them in a small scale. Although the results arent as accurate it serve as an verfication step that the final prototype would be a functional one.
2nd stage Prototype
Finally, our final prototype was the incapsulation of all the other stages of our design process, and expanded upon. This led us to create a funcitonal system as well as the possibility of data gathering to ensure the efficiency of our prototype.
