Hello, I am Genevieve Reed. I grew up in the South suburbs of Chicago. I am a December 2022 graduate of Trinity Christian College earning my Bachelors in Art Education K-12. I have always had a passion for art, and it has always been a second voice for me. I enjoy the artistic process due to its multiplicity of processes. The art process is a consilience, a variety of beliefs, aesthetic, personal interactions, and cooperation.

I'm here to serve students as their guide to be the artist, critical thinker, and decision maker I know they can be. My lessons will provide opportunities for creativity, independence, and imagination. I strive to encourage my students to use creativity and critical thinking, that way they are motivated to ask questions and experiment. Through this my students will gain confidence to embrace experimentation and mistakes as part of the learning process. I look forward to inspiring our young minds through innovative thinking and providing a safe space to be individually creative.

Highlights
This was a photo taken at an art fair for my placement at Worth Junior High. This photo specifically shows the final product of a lesson I created. This lesson was inspired by the pop artist Yayoi Kusama and graffiti style art. It was amazing to see the students work on display, showing off the hard work they put into their assignment.
