Do's
Keep yourself muted in all Zoom meetings unless directed otherwise, you want to be respectful to the facilitator and others that are speaking.
If possible make sure your camera is turned on, we want to see your bright and smiling face! Since we are meeting virtually this tip is very important we want this to feel as normal as possible.
Be aware of your surroundings and background. Make sure that people in your space know that you're in a meeting and make sure that the space behind you doesn't contain anything inappropriate (ex. posters with profanity, alcohol/drug paraphernalia).
Join the meeting a few minutes earlier to ensure that your technology is working correctly and that you are in the correct meeting space.
Make sure that your full name shows up appropriately, if you feel comfortable you can also include your pronouns (ex. Rayna She/Hers and not MissThang24).
Check your lighting, if possible use natural light , sit facing a window or have a lamp close by so that we can see you!
Please don't eat while on zoom meetings. If this is unavoidable (due to a health requirement) please turn off your camera and be sure that you're muted.
