Misbehavior Has Consequences
Be sure to make a mental note of the following issues that could result in a loss your work experience through the GDYT program.
Your work experience could be interrupted or ended early for any of the following reasons:
• Excessive absences
• Constant tardiness
• Unauthorized breaks
• Disregarding work instructions
• Threatening the supervisor or any GDYT staff person
• Forgery of timesheets or other documents
• Excessive use of cell phones and electronic devices
• Inappropriate social media posts related to the GDYT program, staff, employer or participants
• Smoking on the job
• Use or possession of alcohol or drugs on the job
• Use of profanity
• Hostility or belligerence
• Fighting
• Possession of any weapons
Quitting Your Job
We understand that in the real-world, things do not always work out perfectly. This includes the need sometimes to quit our jobs. If you decide to end your work experience early, you should give a fair notice to the worksite supervisor. Also, your notice to quit should be in writing.
