Free rides to and from work during in-person programming!
Access begins June 2nd!
The GDYT program has a partnership with the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) that allows GDYT participants free rides on all DDOT buses to get back and forth to work without paying bus fares during the program period.
GDYT participants will be able to ride the bus free of charge from June 2nd through August 29th using their GDYT shirts (grey or white T-shirts and grey polos) and GDYT ID badge. Participants can expect to ride the bus Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
During the first week of the program, please have bus fare available as a backup in case bus drivers have not received the information about the program.
If you have a problem with a particular bus route or driver, please notify your Program Provider or the GDYT program office as soon as possible so that we can work to correct the situation.
When riding the buses this summer, please remember to represent yourself and the GDYT program well!
Be prepared to show both your GDYT Shirt and GDYT ID badge
in order to ride the bus for free.
