About the Competition:

• When/where will the competition be held this year?
  • The 2019 GDMS High School Engineering Competition will be held on Friday, May 10th at The Boys and Girls Club of Pittsfield (6 Melville St, Pittsfield, MA 01201 ).
• I have multiple teams from my school competition - how would you like me to register?
  • Please submit the registration form once for every team that will be completing. Overlapping/same kit drop off times are fine (even encouraged!) we just need a unique registration with the students names for each team that will compete.

About the 2019 Design:

• Question: “Please clarify the constraint of the dropping device for us. The specifications state that the Mail Carrier can not be equipped with a motor drive or braking system but we were wondering if the dropping device within the Mail Carrier can incorporate a motor to release the bean bags as long as it is not part of the overall Mail Carrier's free riding along the zipline?”
  • Answer: “Yes a motor can be used for the dropping device as long as it does not affect the free ride of the mail carrier.”
