In this manual you should find all the information you require to assist you during the course of the year at Glenbrook Ballet Theatre. Please do take the time to read throughout the entirety of the handbook at the start of the year, and again throughout the year so that any additional questions you may have can be answered.

NEW COMMUNICATION TOOL FOR GBT - BAND APP

Moving forward the main method of communication will be the BAND app.
This will allow us to streamline updates while keeping everyone more connected.

**PLEASE NOTE** This will replace our current Facebook Group and the Silver Swans What's app chats.

How BAND will be used:

A main group for whole-school announcements and important updates
Individual class groups (e.g. Petites through to Senior levels and Adults) for class-specific information
Teachers will share posts, weekly updates, videos of choreography, for at-home practice, and any additional updates throughout term
Families will be able to view content, stay up to date, and support practice at home

Important features for your peace of mind:

All groups are set to private and require admin approval to join
Only staff can initiate chats (students cannot message privately)
All groups are monitored in line with our Child Safe policies
Notifications are muted between 9:00pm - 8:00am

Create an account using your name, and include your child's name where prompted
Join our main group using the link below:

Once in the new Glenbrook Ballet Theatre - General Info group, go to the top notification section to find links to your child's class group(s) and request to join

Additional Notes:

If you have more than one child, you may either create separate accounts or include both children's names on one account
Using your child's name within your profile will help us approve your requests more quickly

We encourage all families to join as soon as possible so you don't miss important updates, reminders, and class content throughout the term.
