Glenbrook Ballet Theatre’s ballet classes follow both the internationally recognised Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) syllabi and offer students the opportunity to undertake Exams/assessments, should they wish. We believe that exams/assessments provide a clear goal to work towards each year and recognition of each level attained.
To complement ballet training, we offer classes in Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Kicks Leaps & turns (KLT) and Lyrical/Contemporary dance styles. Our Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, and Lyrical/Contemporary classes are engaging and energetic, focusing on technique alongside open combinations and routines. Classes incorporate fresh, modern music and choreography while remaining age-appropriate. As a ballet-focused school, students are required to attend the prescribed number of ballet classes per week in addition to these other styles. Dedicated students also have the opportunity to develop their performance skills and refine technique through participation in solo competitions.
In 2026, our extension programs include the Cygnets Program, the Contemporary Extension Program, as well as the GBTAspire Elite Day Program. These programs are designed to further nurture the talents of gifted and dedicated students through extension work and personal coaching. Every graduate of our full-time program has gained acceptance into multiple national and international professional-level training institutions.
