We desperately need:
Animated movement for our main character
Trash monsters - at least one friendly NPC
Trash monsters 0 well, not so friendly, four varying leveled monsters (easy, medium, hard, final boss)
Expanded tilesets
Title design for intro scene - Wastelander
Collectables: Bananas, Screws, Stained/Sea glass (completed already: mushrooms and portal shards), monster parts after battle (brains?)
Heart display (will be used up to ten to show level stats)
Fridge, our games version of a chest
Inventory icon, backpack etc?

Just want to clarify/confirm a few details:
Order of run-ins with NPC's or where the main player gets details for the story progression
Describe how/where/with whom a player will sell collectables
Describe how/where/with whom a player will upgrade a weapon, just money/shop exchange, or is there a crafting mechanism?
Awesome work on the coding tutorial for adding arrow directions for our laptop players and working as a team to make sure everyone has the software they need! You can get together, watch these videos, and decide which you'd like to have as a tested, step-by-step, bite-sized tutorial next week. If you want a different approach/style for movement/inventory/health, find another tutorial video on YouTube and share it with your teacher so we can get the exact method you're hoping to learn.
Now is the time we can decide to spend more time on:
