Hi there! Welcome to my site.
Let me give you some information about me, first. I’m Gaspar Villar and I’m 41. I was born in Neuquen, in the south of Argentina, but I’ve been living in Almagro (in CABA) for about 20 years.
Teaching came to me by chance. Around 15 years ago, a friend of mine was having a baby and she asked me to replace her. I did it and found what I had been looking for: enjoying my job. For the first couple of years I did it without studying at the teacher training and then I decided that I needed to give the best of me to my students, and I wouldn’t be able to do it alone, so I decided to join the INSPT-UTN in 2015.
2020 changed us all. Without any experience in on-line teaching, out of the blue, I had to create videos, presentations, exams and discover tools to engage my students. It was a difficult but fruitful experience and I feel this year I’ll be able to handle it better.
This picture is a good summary of how I feel about technology. It can be extremely useful, but we can’t trust it blindly and in order to achieve that we need to know how to use it and apply it, both in the classroom as in everyday situations.
(If you don’t get the joke, join my classes and we will discover it together!)
