Concert Band

This course is listed as Instrumental Music - Band Intermediate

The Concert Band is open to any student in 9th - 12th Grade who has already taken band throughout middle school or Beginning Band at GMHS. This group does not require an audition. This group participates in our district Concert Band Assessment (MPA or Music Performance Adjudication) and occasionally travels in the Spring to compete at either a Music in the Parks competition hosted at either Busch Gardens (VA) or Carowinds. 

Concert Band is designed for musicians with the following:

• 2 - 3 years of ensemble band experience

• Transitioning from middle school to high school band
