Beginning Band

This class is for all 9-12th Grade students who are learning instruments for the first time! In the first semester, students are able to play the Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, or Trombone. After the Winter Band Concert (early December), students start switching to our secondary instruments. Students may also choose to stay on our primary instruments (Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, or Trombone) or switch to a secondary instrument (Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone, Horn, Euphonium, Tuba, or Percussion). Students do not need to have any knowledge of music or already own an instrument to join. 

Beginning Band is designed for musicians with the following:

• 0 - 1 years of experience playing an instrument

• Need for a refresher of the basics
