Childcare. We can arrange a few childcare places for children between 6 months and 5 years at a trustworthy nursery that is a ten minutes walk away from the School of Mathematics and Statistics. Please contact Madeleine Jotz Lean before April 15, 2016 if you need to bring little children to Sheffield with you, and prepare the following information:

  1. the number and age of the children;

  2. the amount of funding available from your department (or else) to support their trip, accommodation and care, and if you need us to help with the costs;

  3. if you would like to book a place at the nursery. (This will be around 200 GBP for the week but we can provide partial support for these costs.)

If needed, we can also look into childcare possibilities for older children.

In addition, please note that the London Mathematical Society administers a Childcare Supplementary Grant Scheme to help parents working in mathematics in the UK attend conferences. The applications are considered in three rounds per year and the next deadline is May 15, 2016.
