We start to hear right from the time we are in the womb of our mothers! Reacting to all the sounds outside with a cry or kick. The sense of hearing is something that you cannot control or stop. It is also one of the very first senses to develop when we are in the womb!
Dhwani is the term the ancients used to describe all the sounds we hear around and inside us. Right through the ages, sound has helped mankind communicate basic human emotions just as a baby starts to cry or laughs instinctively. Sounds were made meaningful with the advent of vocabulary of spoken languages. With language, a broad palette of words and associated grammar transformed communication into an artform.
Let us understand the science of sound, its generation, propagation and reception and certain aspects of it!
