~ Classical Music is a form of Naad Yoga ~
Hi! Im GK Ramphrasadh, a lifelong student of Music. I started my music journey in 2008 along with my career in the auto industry. Placed in Chennai, it was difficult to find teachers for vocal classical Hindustani. I chanced upon Alaap Music Academy Chennai and Shri Kuldeep Sagar from whom I learnt for 10 years. I later started receving advanced lessons in Khayal Gayaki from Shri Nirbhay Saxena (ITCSRA Kolkatta), a student of Padma Shri Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar and Late Padma Vibhushan Vidushi Girija Devi.
I hold a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and completed my studies in Music with a Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj and Masters in Vocal Music from Raja Mansingh Tomar, Gwalior.
In my free time I do digital art, cooking, gardening
Classical music is a balm to my mind, body and soul and I wish for learners of music to experience the same!
Shri Nirbhay Saxena is a well-known young exponent of Khayal gayaki in Gwalior-Jaipur-Agra tradition and Thumari of Purab-ang tradition.
He was selected into ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata in 2011 and was a senior scholar. He continues to receive rigorous taleem from Padmashri Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar in the traditional guru-shishya parampara along with Shri Omkar Dadarkar.
He was fortutnate to have lived with the doyen of Benaras gharana, Padma Vibhushan Vidushi Girija Devi and receive taleem in semi classical art forms of Thumari, Hori, Chaiti, Kajari, Dadra and Tappa in Purab-ang tradition.
He also received guidance from Pandit Uday Bhawalkar and Shri Prabhakar Gohadkar (senior disciple of Rajabhaiya Poochwale and Balasaheb Poochwale)
Shri Kuldeep Sagar is a Hindustani Classical vocalist of the Gwalior Gharana, with a wide repertoire of Classical, Geet, Ghazal, Bhajan, Thumri, Dadra and Sufi music forms. He had trained under Late Sangeet Acharya Pt Nand Kishor Sharma of the Gwalior Gharana. Conservatory [Music School of Shri. A.R.Rahman].

Any interested person who wishes to learn vocal music is welcome! People who have any level of understanding in music will be taught to sing. The medium of instruction is in English. Notes are provided in English. Students are explained the meaning of words wherever needed.
Hindustani classical music is based on Ragadari Sangeet and hence a basic induction is necessary for all new students to understand the teaching methodology and the foundational principles. Learning to sing Raga Sangeet starts with training the voice to be strong & flexible for expressing the nuances of Raga.
"Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life, bringing peace, abolishing strife."
