PLEASE START US OFF BY INTRODUCING YOURSELF:

I'm Bruno Bombardi, and I'm the developer of Dunjungle.

Programmer and Pixel Artist based in Argentina, I have worked and released a few games with small teams in the past.

Currently working on my biggest project so far, I'm doing everything from the design, to coding and graphics, outsourcing only the music and SFX.

TELL US ABOUT DUNJUNGLE.

I was playing a lot of Roguelikes during the pandemic, fell in love with the genre. I had more free time on my hands at that time, and decided to make my own! It was supposed to be a small hobby project but it ended up getting bigger and bigger, and now after signing with a publisher, and quitting my day job, I'm 100% focused on it.

WHICH GAME ENGINE DID YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?

I chose Unity, mainly because I already had experience with, and the biggest reason is that you can port to consoles fairly easy.

WHAT'S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST DEVELOPMENT HURDLE SO FAR?

Since I'm doing mostly everything in the game, putting on many different hats can be demanding. I'd say my biggest problem is that sometimes I take a lot of time doing a task, because I want to do it myself, instead of getting outside help!.

ADVICE FOR FELLOW DEVS?

One very important piece of advice if they're doing their first game:

KEEP IT S-M-A-L-L

Really, small project first, focus on finishing it, and go through the entire process at least once, before getting into an bigger and ambitious project.

ANY FINAL THOUGHTS?

- Wishlist Dunjungle! :)

Joking aside. Maybe this goes into the "advice" section, but show your game to people as soon as you have something decent to show! Don't be scared. You'll find the Indie Gaming Community is full of awesome nice people.
