It’s been a week since Pocophone F1 launched in India and it’s already popular worldwide. With the release of Pocophone F1, Xiaomi unveiled their Pocophone brand to the world. The device is being called as the killer of “Flagship Killer” i.e. OnePlus 6 and other budget flagship devices such as ZenFone 5Z. Does this device really have what it takes to knock out OnePlus 6 out of the budget flagship game?
Let’s check out.
Both the devices got almost the same display sizes and come with a notch but the design of OnePlus 6 is surely great. The OnePlus 6 has glass front and back and that too made of Gorilla glass while the Pocophone F1 has a plastic back which doesn’t look great and of course doesn’t feel nice either. But, hey look at the price tag it is priced 14k lower than OnePlus 6. Also, OnePlus 6 has an AMOLED display while Pocophone F1 has normal IPS LCD, this gives OnePlus an edge over Poco F1.
Both the devices run on their own custom UI. While Poco F1 runs on MIUI made for Poco and has almost stock android experience. Whereas OnePlus runs on Oxygen OS which is more stable and bug free. MIUI in Poco F1 has few that can be removed overtime via updates.
Here the competition gets touched since both the device flaunts a Snapdragon 845 processor. Both the devices are superfast and gaming is a breeze on both of them but Poco F1 has an edge over OnePlus here for having the Liquid cooling technology to keep the device temperature lower during gaming. Another great thing in Poco f1 is the inclusion of microSD card via hybrid sim slot which is not available in OnePlus 6. So if you shoot 4K videos you won’t have to run out of storage on Poco F1, you can always use an SD card. Further, the Infrared face unlock sensor is a great inclusion in Poco F1 and it can unlock the device in dark.
Talk about day light or night light, cameras are great in both the devices and both the conditions. Both the cameras produce nice and detailed images. However, due to OIS in OnePlus 6, the videos come out to be less shaky and more stable than Poco F1 during video recording. Front cameras are also great in both the devices.
The Poco f1 has a bigger 4000 mAh battery than 3300 mAh battery on OnePlus 6. The Poco F1 has a battery optimized MIUI which lowers down the battery usage giving the phone more juice to run throughout the day. The OnePlus 6 offers the dash charger with the device which surely charges the device very fast but Poco F1 too have quick charge 3.0 technology.
Both the device are close to each other if we talk about the major specs but when we talk about the look and feel the OnePlus no doubt is a king. But to get a device which looks premium you got to spend more money out of your pocket. But if you want to taste a powerful device and don’t want to shed good money then you can choose Poco F1 blindly, obviously, you would have to compromise on a few things.
