Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming education by reshaping learning and teaching methods. The EU emphasizes integrating AI into education through its Digital Education Action Plan.
Objectives:
The project focuses on equipping secondary school educators with the tools to effectively incorporate AI into their teaching practices. Key objectives include enhancing digital readiness through a self-paced online course and workshops, upskilling teachers, school advisors and administrators with practical AI strategies and fostering interest in STEM among students by demonstrating AI’s applications. The project aims to create innovative learning environments that benefit educators and students.
Implementation:
In addition to project management, the project comprises three primary activities: developing and evaluating a 3- hour online course to retrain educators in AI skills. The project will also host a transnational workshop where teachers can exchange best practices for using AI in education along with creating a recommendation and best practices report. These initiatives will be complemented by three dissemination events.
Results:
What results do you expect your project to have? The project expects to achieve several key results: improved digital competence among educators through AI integration in teaching practices, creation of a 3-hour self-paced online AI course for ongoing professional development, and a comprehensive policy recommendations and best-practices guide for AI use in secondary education. The project aims to foster collaboration between schools, influence policy recommendations, and promote long-term adoption of AI tools across the educational sector.
