On 16 June, the Directorate of Secondary Education of Rodopi and the Music School of Komotini organised a professional development event entitled “Erasmus+ Programmes: Design, Implementation and Dissemination of Good Practices.”

The event provided an opportunity for participants to gain information and exchange experiences concerning the opportunities that Erasmus+ offers to schools. Three European projects were presented: the KA210 project “Future Classrooms: AI-Driven Innovation in Education,” the KA220 project “Digital Harmony – Steering Social Media Towards Positive Mental Health & Active Societal Participation,” and the KA220 project “The Word for World is FOREST.”

Through these concrete examples, the event highlighted the contribution of European programmes to educational innovation, digital literacy, mental health, environmental awareness, collaboration and the internationalisation of schools.

The presentations also addressed practical aspects of the design, implementation and dissemination of Erasmus+ project results, offering schools useful ideas, approaches and examples that may support the development of future European initiatives.

The Directorate of Secondary Education of Rodopi organised a dissemination event on 7 May 2026 to present the project’s main results and explore the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence in secondary education.

The event featured project results, good teaching practices from Humanities and STEM subjects, and practical examples of AI tools such as NotebookLM, StoryboardThat and Napkin AI. Particular emphasis was placed on responsible and safe AI use, critical evaluation of AI-generated information, data protection, teacher training and human oversight.

The event promoted the exchange of experiences and strengthened the dialogue on how AI can support creativity, differentiation, active learning and innovation in schools when used with clear pedagogical purpose and educational responsibility.

On 5 June 2026, IIS “P. Mazzone” in Roccella Jonica hosted a dissemination event for the Erasmus+ project “Future Classrooms – AI-Driven Innovation in Education”.

Teachers and students explored the project’s main results, international cooperation activities and practical uses of Artificial Intelligence in education. The event also featured examples of innovative tools such as NotebookLM, showing how AI can support teaching and learning.

Particular emphasis was placed on the responsible, critical and ethical use of AI, data protection, teacher training and inclusive digital education.

The event offered a valuable opportunity to share good practices and strengthen the school’s commitment to European cooperation, innovation and digital transformation.

In the frame of the Erasmus+ project “Future Classrooms: AI-Driven Innovation in Education”, a dissemination event was held on 22 May 2026 at the Nezihe Yalvaç Training Hotel, bringing together school administrators, teachers and representatives of civil society organisations.

Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Education

The project aims to make Artificial Intelligence more understandable, responsible and effective for teachers, school leaders and students. It supports educators in strengthening their digital readiness and integrating AI effectively into teaching and learning, while also encouraging students’ interest in STEM fields.

During the event, AI-enhanced lesson plans and the project’s main outputs were presented, including:

• AI-Focused Online Course: a 3-hour self-paced course covering AI fundamentals, ethical use and classroom applications.

• International Best-Practices Workshop: a practical workshop held in Malta where educators exchanged experiences and explored AI tools for education.

• Policy Recommendations: a data-driven digital guide offering recommendations for the safe and effective integration of AI into secondary education.

The project also addresses key areas such as AI literacy and prompt engineering, ethical and responsible AI use, data privacy, critical evaluation of AI-generated information, and the pedagogically meaningful integration of AI into teaching.

On Wednesday 16 of April 2025, we had the pleasure of presenting our Erasmus+ project, “Future Classrooms: AI-Driven Innovation in Education”, to a group of Educational Advisors.

We explored how AI is changing the face of education, and how advisors can play a key role in helping schools embrace this change.

The feedback was inspiring. Many advisors shared their enthusiasm for using AI as a meaningful tool to support teachers, simplify school processes, and engage students.

School leaders were informed about the project and the chances for teachers' proffessional development it offers.

On 18th of November 2025 an online dissemination event was organized for school leaders. School administrators were introduced to the self-paced course and were invited to act as multipliers for their school educators.

Secondary Education Teachers in Greece, Italy and the Turkiye were introduced to the project and were invited to get involved in the self-paced course.

Secondary Education Teachers of 1st Senior High School of Kavala, 1st Junior High School of Kavala, 2nd Junior High School of Chrisoupolis and Senior High School of Chrisoupolis were introduced to the project and invited to get involved in the self-paced course.
