Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming education by reshaping learning and teaching methods. The EU emphasizes integrating AI into education through its Digital Education Action Plan. While developing this project, the partnership conducted research and consulted with educational professionals to identify key goals and necessary steps. This groundwork shaped the project’s objectives:
1: Enhance Digital Readiness and Competence in AI The project aims to equip secondary school educators, school advisors and administrators with the knowledge and tools to integrate AI into education. By developing a self-paced online course and conducting workshops, the project will help educators build digital resilience and capacity to address modern educational challenges. This objective supports the priority of digital transformation by fostering digital readiness and preparing educators to leverage AI for effective teaching.
2: Upskill Educators in AI Integration The project seeks to upskill teachers, school leaders and school advisors with strategies and tools to incorporate AI into daily education. Tailored training sessions and practical methodologies will improve educators' digital competencies, enabling them to apply AI tools in classrooms and administration. This aligns with the priority of supporting teachers, school leaders, and other professions through essential professional development.
3: Foster Interest and Excellence in STEM Education through AI The project will promote interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by demonstrating the practical application of AI in education. Through workshops and activities, educators and students will explore AI as a tool for technological advancement, supporting the priority of promoting STEM excellence by creating innovative learning environments.
