Food Pantry Sunday
The Food Pantry collection for September is September 24th.
It is hard to imagine that right here in Montgomery City we have friends and neighbors that need a helping hand because they don’t have enough food. The Crisis Closet is one place they can go for help. But the Crisis Closet can’t help without you! When you are shopping this week, please pick up a few extra items and drop them in the grocery cart located in the narthex. Last month we collected 32 items. Thank you for your generosity.
For this month let's think items such as: Peanut Butter, Jello, Ramen Noodles, Muffin Mixes, Crackers, and Cans of Soup. As always, non-food items are also desirable: Toilet Paper, Laundry Detergent,Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, and Body Wash are a few examples.
If you purchase cleaning products, please place items under the shopping cart (sometimes they leak onto the food items). When purchasing cleaning supplies and hygiene products, please try to buy fragrance free. Thank you. This is one way we support the needs of families here in our own community as they struggle through economic crisis.
*Please check your food that it is not expired. The pantry will not take expired food. We must throw any expired food away.
Thank you once again for making a difference, one can of food at a time.
