With the comeback of the MySpace era, its no surprise that a lot of bands would find success in recreating the nostalgia of that area. However, there's one band that tends to stand out even early on in their career. That band is Waves in April.
This band has found a way to appeal to people who like all kinds of music, despite their growing discography, there's something for anyone to enjoy. With some songs having Southern Rock elements, while others are full on Mall core. Every song includes a classic 2009 mall-core feel, while maintaining a new unique spin to their sound that a lot of their other their counterparts are missing. The same thing can be said about their live show
Anybody attending a Waves in April show is in for a great time, whether you're head banging in the back or two-stepping in the pit, there's no doubt you'll leave wanting more. The band has incredible chemistry and you can see the passion they have for the music, no matter if it's a small venue or a huge festival, they're always giving it their all on the stage.
The set included their newest single "Deadthrone" which is an absolute powerhouse of a song, with haunting clean vocals performed by lead singer Elle, this new single is easily becoming a fan favorite. They even played highly- anticipated unreleased songs, one even being a mashup with "I kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry, how cool is that?
On top of all of this, they are incredibly talented musicians, each member has clearly mastered their craft, it's no surprise that this results in such a remarkable sound. Its truly mind-boggling to see in person, their talent really shines through on each recording and live performance.
Waves in April is continuing to grow by the day, don't blink and miss out on the scene being back and better than ever. Make sure to check them out if they're coming to a city near you, and if not, prepare for their set at Rocklahoma by practicing your mosh pit moves to their song "Uzumaki" in your living room. Be on the lookout for new music coming this year by keeping up with their socials, and checking them out on all streaming platforms.
