If you're in the Houston Music scene at all, you've definitely heard of The Babysitters. Their music is incredibly diverse, blending elements of all genres in their music with creative lyrics and fun instrumentals. There's something for everybody to enjoy. It's no surprise that their live show is a great time for anyone attending.
After being on a brief hiatus, the locally- loved band returned for a headline show at Wonky Power on June 21st. The Babysitters drew in an incredible crowd. The playful banter between their audience and each other really shows how much they love what they're doing.
Their first show back was not one I would've wanted to miss. They played their originals such as "Hot Moms" and "BIG ONE," as well as a cover of "The Adults Are Talking" by The Strokes and "Dead!" by My Chemical Romance. The crowd was hyped for the entire set, sticking around the whole night just to see them. It goes to show how their performances set them apart from the rest.
Amidst their performance, they even came with a surprise to give back to the scene. During the encore, they announced the winner of their guitar giveaway that was posted before the show. It was insanely cool to watch The Babysitters find a way to show their appreciation to the audience.
Not only are they great live, the whole band is great at their instruments. Every member is an extremely talented musician, each person bringing a unique element to the band's sound and live performance. This ensures that no one in the band is left without their moment to shine.
A live show by The Babysitters is one that will leave an impact, after seeing them I can assure you wont leave disappointed. The Babysitters never sit still so be sure to catch them at future shows, and check out their music on all streaming platforms. You can find them on social media @thebabysittershtx as well.
