FROGGY'S DEW RESUME

Alright folks, I know a lot of you have been waiting for this. I have FINALLY tasted Hard Mountain Dew, and I will be sharing my reviews.

I drank two flavors today, (R.I.P. my bladder), but for this post, I’m just going to focus on one of them. Naturally, the first flavor I tried was Baja Blast.

I actually took a “sneak peek” sip last night. I bought the last two cases that BevMo had, but they were just on the shelf, not cold. Curtis didn’t care and wanted to crack open a can anyway, so I had a little taste of his, then had my own today after refrigerating them overnight.

I definitely recommend drinking these cold. When I tasted the Hard Baja Blast at room temperature, it had a very overwhelming diet soda/fake sweetener type of flavor. I guess this is somewhat to be expected since all Hard Mountain Dews are zero sugar, but I wasn’t really a fan.

The nice cold can I drank today was much more enjoyable. I could still taste the fake sweetener flavor, but the Baja Blast flavor came through much better when the beverage was chilled. It basically tasted like a Diet Baja Blast mixed with a Smirnoff Ice. Not as delicious as a proper Baja Blast, but not bad!

Now for the color. This is a less important detail, but I still find it interesting. I took the liberty of pouring some into a clear shot glass so you guys can see what it looks like. The color isn’t as vibrant as it is in regular Baja Blast— still there, but looks a bit watered down. Perhaps it really is just Diet Baja Blast mixed with Smirnoff Ice, haha.

Lastly, the real question: How’s the buzz?

Yeah, this stuff’s gonna get you. I ate a meal right before drinking mine, and it was my first alcoholic beverage of the day, but I still felt slightly tipsy before the end of the can. This could be explained by me being a lightweight, but Curtis absolutely is not, and even he said that he was feeling it. Proceed with caution!

As long as I don’t get hit by an intense hangover tomorrow, that’s all I got for Hard Baja Blast. It didn’t taste as close to regular Baja Blast as I was hoping, but it did turn out to be a much stronger drink than I expected. Apparently, Mountain Dew is down to party! 🤘😎
