Students are able to:
Express one quantity as a fraction of another, with and without the use of digital technologies(ACMNA155)
Multiplication of fractions and mixed numerals and write fractions in it's simplest form
Division of whole numbers by fractions and vice versa
Application of the flip and multiply method for the division of fractions
Students will be asked to stand up and split into 2 categories, owns pet/s and does not own pet/s.
Student who own pets will be asked to stand on one end of the classroom and the rest on the other end.
Teacher will then ask everyone how many student are there in the class - to which students will be kept busy counting.
Students to simplify the answer.
Repeat with another example like how many males are in the class and what fraction of the class are male?
Express minutes as a fraction of an hour
Following on from introduction, identify that One number can be expressed as a fraction of another number.
Evaluate quantities as a fractions of measurements
