Students are able to:
Multiply and divide fractions and decimals using efficient written strategies and digital technologies(ACMNA154)
Multiplication of fractions and mixed numerals and write fractions in it's simplest form
Division of whole numbers by fractions and vice versa
Conceptual knowledge of the flip and multiply method for the division of fractions
Students will be using the flip and multiply procedure that was briefly mentioned in the previous lesson.
Debrief given on definition of multiplicative inverses or reciprocals with examples on the board.
Students are to copy the definition and examples.
Students work in pairs on the given problem on the board.
Pair students up and give them a worksheet on dividing fractions -->
Have students write down the questions and solution in their books, then compare each others works to ensure accuracy.
