I am a 4th year teacher in the W̱SÁNEĆ territory. I am a MET student at the University of British Columbia and I am currently in my 7th and 8th course of the program with a plan to graduate in Decemeber.
As a high-school student, I struggled to encourage myself to push through academic obstables I faced in Math and Science, therefore, I did not do as well as I know I could have. This piece of technology could have significantly helped push me through the constant feelings of negativity and stress. As a teacher, I remind myself how students may be feeling towards certain subjects and content, however, I am still searching for a way to help my students find there own way out of school negativity. An internal notification or reminder could help push a student from the point of, "I can't do this" to "maybe I can."
