Genesis 29:1-29

Last week our story was about a dream Jacob had. God promised to keep him safe and not be harmed and Jacob would return to his homeland. Even though Laban deceived or tricked Jacob, God promises came true.

Jacob worked 7 years for Rachel. Some of you are not even 7 years old but Jacob was a good worker. He worked hard for the 7 years.

Do you know what the word "deceived" means? It means to be lied to, tricked, or fooled. Has anyone ever deceived you? How did you feel? Were you angry?

When Laban deceived Jacob and gave Jacob, Leah instead of Rachel to marry, Jacob was very angry.

Even though Jacob was angry, how did he react as Laban suggests that Jacob work another 7 years to get Rachel.

Did Jacob work hard the next seven years for Rachel? Yes, he was a hard worker.
