The SEA-Teacher Project seeks to enhance teacher education in Southeast Asia, aligning with the region's commitment to providing quality education. In October 2014, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education, through the SEAMEO Council, adopted the SEAMEO Education Agenda, which outlines seven key areas for collaborative efforts to improve educational quality in the region. One of these priorities is "Revitalizing Teacher Education," essential for achieving high standards in education. To address this goal, the SEAMEO Secretariat has launched the “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project).”
