2022 bounty program

In November 2022, thanks to a grant that we obtained through Deschutes County Fuel reduction program, we started a bounty program where we paid owners for fire fuel removed in the 0-5 feet zone around their house.

We had 36 owners responding and this was an encouraging start since we had just become a Firewise Community in July of the same year.

We had trees and bushes that were a direct threat removed and we had a lot of owners working on trimming trees that were touching their homes.
