When it comes to combining animation and music, we've been doing it for pretty much as long as animation has been around. It's not a new idea that combing the two most popular and frequently consumed forms of the arts will make for an appealing concept. Many people, myself included, will here a good song and think of bright colours and dance movements, and a lot of the time the things that cannot be achieved in real life can be more easily achieved with art and animation. In this section of my research, I will go into depth about three different concepts:
The history of animation and music, including my own relationship to this as a child.
How modern day song makers have utilised animation to create engaging music videos.
How fanbases of media and music have brought their visions to life using animation.
I will end this section off with some examples of how I, in the past, have utilised some of these techniques before even researching on them.
