As I discussed at length in my animation research, storyboards are essential for animators to visualise and block out scenes that happen in their final project. Of course, in mainstream animation industries, there would be a separate team to create storyboards; however, since it is just me on my own, I will be using these as references. This is, in some ways, more advantageous since I will have a better idea of what I want the animation to look like.
I drew these storyboards at home, using the software FireAlpaca (which is my free software of choice for the time being), using a template I found on Boords.com (as referenced in my bibliography). I used a mixture of black, light grey, and dark grey. The grey tones are to show the difference in foreground and background and to make the shapes more distinct. When creating my storyboards, I focused primarily on blocking out the scenes and getting the character's emotional essence rather than on any kind of detail or cleanliness. There are 10 pages in total, which makes around 120 shots, although of course these will have smoother frames and animation.
