Black Social Work Student Association
Description: The Black Social Work Student Association is an empowerment, advocacy and support group, which acts as a representative body to enhance the experience of self-identified Black students at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work (FIFSW) at the University of Toronto. The Association is dedicated to creating cohesion among the Black community at FIFSW, inclusive of student and faculty members alike, to promote Black community and culture through representation, collaboration and outreach.

Muslim Social Work Student Association
Description: The Muslim Social Work Student Association (MSWSA) is here on the mission to uphold social work values whilst integrating social justice and cultural responsiveness to Muslim students at its core.The mission of the Muslim Social Work Student Association (MSWSA) is to create a supportive and inclusive community for social work students who identify with the Muslim faith. The MSWSA aims to foster a space that encourages academic excellence, professional development, and community engagement while adhering to the principles of social justice, core values of social work, integrated with Islamic values.

Tamil Social Work Student Association
Description: The Tamil Social Work Student Association (TSWSA) is excited to be formally coming together as a new student affinity group at FIFSW. The TSWSA aims to function as a community for Tamil social work students to discuss, support & learn from each other as we navigate our time at FIFSW and the field of social work.

MSW Truth and Reconciliation Student Collective
Description: The MSW Truth and Reconciliation Student Collective was formed in September 2022. We are a collective comprised of social work students at the FIFSW, who are settlers, that are committed to understanding and learning ways to address and respond to the historical and ongoing impact of colonization on First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples. This includes a commitment to educating ourselves about the Calls to Action from the National Truth and Reconciliation Commission, acting on those calls, and supporting grass roots Indigenous peoples struggles.

FIFSW Art Action
Description: FIFSW Art Action collective aims to: 1) Offer arts-based spaces for FIFSW students and alumni on the margins to convene, create, and connect for collective care & action; 2) Document and sustain the creative resistance of FIFSW students and alumni on the margins by building collective memory that can support coalitional advocacy; 3) Advance efforts to expand work at the intersection of art and social work in pursuit of social justice.
