Curriculum Structure

Providing information on how Falkirk High School supports every young person on their learner journey from S1 through to S6. With an ever changing landscape for young people in terms of the future employment industry, we hope that this information allows you to see how the SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) provides flexibility and opportunity for every young person to access an appropriate pathway to ensure they are well prepared and ready to engage in a sustained positive destination.

Please look through the presentations below to better understand the vast range of pathways that a young person can opt into as part of their senior phase (S4-6) at Falkirk High School. The SCQF Framework provides the opportunity for us to maximise the potential attainment for every pupil before they leave Falkirk High School, by offering courses at level 4, 5, 6 and 7 within and out with the school and the opportunity to achieve these levels of study in some cases without a final exam but ongoing assessment of the skills and knowledge required to achieve success at that level of study.
